Legendary Indian cricketer Kapil Dev is getting ready to try his luck in Malayalam movies. His first in Mollywood will be ‘Mazhavillinapurathekku’ to be directed by Kaithapram.

The movie will feature him along with the Pakistan opening batsman Mohd. Hafiz, who will be doing the lead role. Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty is also expected to do a key role in the film. Other cast will include Nedumudi, Mamukkoya, Anoop Chandran, Suraj and Siddiq.

‘Mazhavillinapurathekku’ will have two heroines, debutante Krishna and Archana Kavi. The shoot for the movie is expected to kick off by the 24th of this month at Kannur.

The movie was in news from the day of its announcement, as Pak fast bowler Mohd. Asif was initially approached to do the main role in the film. But later the actor fell prey to certain controversies and director Kaithapram decided to go a for a lead-actor change.
